XS Interpolator is software that allows for the generation of interpolated river cross sections, usually required to supplement surveyed cross sections data while performing any river analysis, or for the creation of a riverbed DEM, needed for the implementation of 2D hydrodynamic models.
XS Interpolator is software that allows for the generation of interpolated river cross sections, usually required to supplement surveyed cross sections data while performing any river analysis, or for the creation of a riverbed DEM, needed for the implementation of 2D hydrodynamic models. The geospatial interpolation performed by the software is based not only on the data gathered in the survey, but also on information drawn from cartographic data sources and satellite images, in order to generate a model of a riverbed and overbanks accounting for morphological features of the river such as the thalweg trajectory, meanders, contractions, or expansions.
Below are the links to access Youtube videos showing two example applications of XS Interpolator: example application 1 is a tutorial for the generation of interpolated cross sections, while example application 2 is a tutorial for the generation of a DEM in GIS environment.
